Bug 70 NOTICE doesn't take channels as targets

Hello, crawling through the sources and the bug tracker, I tried to solve BUG 70. As this is my first patch (and I'm not that good in programming C) I hope I did not make too many mistakes. The patch was tested on a local ngircd instance (MacOS X 10.4.11) and is attached to this mail. I haven't found any specific conditions for a user to be able to NOTICE a channel in the RFC's, so I assumed that they are the same as used for PRIVMSG, is this correct? Regards, Fabian

Hello All! ngIRCd 0.10.4 has been released, fixing a security bug which could cause the server to access invalid memory and to crash while handling specially crafted PART commands. The fix for the above mentioned security bug is the only change since release 0.10.3. In addition, ngIRCd 0.11.0-pre2 has been released which fixes this bug as well. However, an irc operator can use the /mode command (including /mode +o) if you enable the "OperCanUseMode" option in ngircd.conf. Hi ! I am trying ngircd because I love its simple configuration file :) However I have a little problem with "Operator". I define the following : [Operator] # Password of the IRC operator Password = test # Optional Mask from which /OPER will be accepted Mask = Milipili!*@* When I try to do the following : /oper Milipili test I have "bad password" In fact at the begining I would like to autoconnect a irssi client using its -w option. Yeah, hardcoded in one of the files, I can't remember which, but a quick grep should throw light on the matter; I couldn't be bothered re-compiling, and currently tollerate it as it as (on the principle that imo, the daemon's still a lot better than hybrid/dancer.) a

I use the ngircd from debian package and the nick len is 9 char I would support 20/30 char for nick :( Where is the option for change this limit? Is hardcoded?? If is harcoded, why? Mancausoft

Hi, I can't figure out how to leave an away message that's longer than one word. The server complains, saying "away Syntax Error" What do I need to do? Thanks.
