You can configure a global password for the server using the "Password" variable in the "[Global]" section of the configuration file.

And you found two bugs, thanks:

a) "ngircd --configtest" told us that the variable is named "ServerPwd", but thats WRONG. Its definitely "Password".

b) There has been no description of "Password" in the sample configuration file.

Both bugs have been fixed in HEAD and branch-0-7-x and therefore will be included in the upcoming ngIRCd 0.7.0 release.
