"MaxConnections, MaxChannels:" Hi there! ngircd 0.7.0 is rocking for us. Great job. one issue - we need more than 10 channels to be accessible to a user (like a bot, for example). I upped the 'MaxConnections' field, but in my client's status, the server message remains 'MAXCHANNELS=10'. Any idea how I can raise the limit on the # of channels one user can occupy? Thanks as always Alexander for your great work! Micki At 12:00 PM +0100 10/28/03, ngircd-ml-request@Arthur.Ath.CX wrote:

one issue - we need more than 10 channels to be accessible to a user (like a bot, for example). I upped the 'MaxConnections' field, but in my client's status, the server message remains 'MAXCHANNELS=10'.
The "MaxConnections" variable limits the number of simultanous connections (from users and other servers) the daemon is willing to accept.
Any idea how I can raise the limit on the # of channels one user can occupy?
Augment the "MaxJoins" variable.
